Alice & Kohi had initially planned to marry in 2021 but as with many of our 2021 events, the Covid 19 pandemic had other ideas. They managed to move all of their suppliers to July 2022 and what an perfect sunny and joyful day it turned out to be!

Their wedding ceremony occurred in St Mary’s Church in Ballaugh with the reception just around the corner at Ballacooiley Equestrian Centre in Tipis from Taylor Made Events. Sarah from Taylor Made had also created an outdoor dancefloor complete with fairy lights and a disco ball giving it serious Ibiza holiday vibes.

Alice’s bouquet was a stylish natural tied posy, with Roses, Cosmos, Ammi, Beech, Sweet Peas and Leucanthemum surrounded by meadow grasses and flowers. Nearly all of the flowers and foliage for Alice & Kohi’s day were sourced locally with all the designs constructed using sustainable methods without any floral foam.

In St Mary’s Church, Ballaugh, guests were greeted at the entrance with asymmetrical floral pillars – perfect for posing in front of for photographs! The aisles were decorated with bunches of flowers and foliage tied with velvet ribbon and a pretty garden style arrangement sat on the altar.

All of the church flowers were transported to the reception venue whilst guests were congratulating the happy couple and having photographs taken – the floral pillars framed the dancefloor, the alter arrangement was perfect for the top table and the pew ends filled large ceramic Toby jugs that Alice and Kohi had collected. There were also smaller Toby jugs dotted around the tables that we had already filled with stems of flowers and they hired some of our vintage brass candlesticks for the tables as well.
